I can only see this birth of a George A Southern born with Mother's surname Percy

Births Jun 1916
Southern George A Percy Sunderland 10a 1320

The above birth registration would fit in with the death that I mentioned previously ie

Deaths Mar 1971
SOUTHERN George Alexander 13Ap1916 Plymouth 7a 1957

This looks to be the National Schools Admission Register for Mary Agnes Percy who appears to be Joshua Southern's wife and you will see that Father is called Alexander (full name John Alexander Percy) so could be the reason why he was given the middle name of Alexander.
