I am obviously wanting to trace living family members eventually but Smith is difficult name to research

You haven’t said if you’ve done anything about looking in ‘search all members trees’

You could buy recent death certs for details of informants

I gave you info about Cyril and his brother Sidney - any chance of a comment?

Cyril was single in 1939.
There is a closed record on the register, which COULD be a sister, born 1925

To find out if the 1941 marriage is his, get a copy of the cert. If it is, follow through on the Smith/Trenfield births on freebmd

She's not necessarily any relation to anyone else named on the cert.

There's this woman in 1871 - just as a possibility.
