If it is Ellen on the 1850 Census aged 8 then then it is possible it was her because Mary Ellen was born in 1858 which would make her 16 so possible making it up
Who knows.

There is a Mary Ellen Seymore registered in Manchester Sept 1858. 8d/225

Might be worth getting that birth certificate.

1861 says Ellen was born in Manchester - but we have no proof of that.

That birth is the one for which the OP has been given details, and I have asked him to find out who registered the event. If he does, it may prove enlightening.
