can anyone spot the above man and his wife catherine nee chisholm who he married in 1911 on the 1911 census please.
His first wife, Mary, who he married in 1880 had died, and he remarried in 1911 when he was approx 50 years old.
sometimes, the name can be changed to padget and his first name is often misspelled too.

just to add, one census says born in Manchester but I yhink he was born or lived mainly in Colne and Nelson (Marsden) Tweeted for the first part of his life. I think his father was Benjamin patchett.
Mannaseh married Mary Anne and they had many children including ephraim in 1882.

The marriage didn’t take place until OND 1911,

it says 1855. one census it says born Manchester. Another census born Colne. He said he was 50 on his marriage but he was more like 56 :-(

his father was Benjamin patchett. His first wife was Mary Ann brockbank. I think it's more likely he was born in Colne as it seems a lot of the patchett family had burial in Colne and Nelson. :-)

I noticed he and catherine had two children after their 1911 marriage. But when I look at mums maiden name given one says Williams and another says chikeral. Odd. Perhaps Catherine had a, strong accent? :-)

I looked on the lancs opac and it says baptism of a, John and a baptism of I think Edna in 1917 and in 1920. It says on the church baptism that mannaseh and cathetine are the parents. But when I checked lbmd it has Williams as surname of mother and chikeral as surname of mother so I assumed that chikeral coukd be chisholm misheard and who knows with the Williams? Strange. Unless they baptised John as the parents but we're not actually the parents.? :-)

Possibly just awful handwriting.................

another odd thing is mannaseh born in Salford in 1855 but his parents Benjamin and Mary brockbank didn't get married until 1857 and they lived in Colne. Well, Benjamin was born in Colne, so mannaseh was born two years before his parents got married. :-(
