Find Ancestors

Hi Just looking at my mothers notes which I don't have many as it's my mum I know all about her!! I realised I didn't have her birth well I new her birthday Looked on GRO nothing found it on Lancashire BMD So it got me thinking I have my gran in 1911 at 23 Whitfield St C on Medlock Manchester so although I haven't got access to 1921 I had a look to see if I could find her - my gran then I put my mums siblings in couldn't find anything that seem to fit
My gran was Catherine Kelly married Joseph Turner had 4 children 3 lived she then married Sidney Jones 1920 had another son 1924 by Sidney
Catherine Jones 1888 Manchester ? never found her birth
Sidney Jones 1887 Sale Cheshire
Annie (nancy) 1909 Manchester
Joseph 1914 Manchester
Catherine Selina 1917

If some one could look for me as long as they don't have to pay it would be good to see where they were living , it could be Chorlton Manchester

Yes I have Joseph and my mum Catherine but where did you get them I could find Annie or Joseph with their mum maiden name on Kelly
Their was another one Martha 1910-1912
What was the birth you found 1921? accordind to my mum my gran only had one child with Sidney unless it had died ?

Yes I got my mums birth on GRO didn't look for Martha's as she had died looked for Ann/annie nothing , joseph found him on GRO. Martha's death 1912 on GRO,

Sylann - lots of people have problems with cut and paste, iPads are particularly difficult at times.

You can’t put your threads together as such, only Genes can do that but I don’t suppose they would. Just like you have added a post or two on here you can do the same with any of your threads. If you want to move one up the list a simple n or nudge in the box will bring it up.

You are doing OK. Lots of people who post are novices or have medical issues. Those of us who are most expert should sometimes be more patient and explain better.

Great find with the baptisms, Maddie.......but still no birth reg for Annie/Anna. These things happen and we must accept them

In your opening post you said you'd never found Catherine Kelly's birth.

Do you have either of her marriage certs to see what her father's name was?

Joseph's army record gives her DOB as 28 July 1885.
1939 (which is frequently a year or two out re birth) says 28 July 1886.
