You probably need to know Annies actual birthdate. Whilst she may have changed her name she may not have changed her date of birth.

Annie/Ann is on a lot of trees on Ancestry. Some give her death as 1985/6 in Lancashire. You would need to confirm that this is the right person.

If she's on the 1939 Register, it must be under some other surname.

The Register lists a large number of women named Ann/Annie with DOB 1/5/1899 - and of course we know that DOB s are not always correct on the Register.

Erika, don’t you recognise a typo, or even an autocorrect?

This was always going to be a difficult one to solve. A surname change is probably the most likely and, as suggested by George, she could have gone anywhere in the world.
