Hello, please could I have a look up for the above. He was born 1897 India and is at Toxteth Park, Lancs. I would like to know his address and his occupation. According to his obituary in the Sunderland Daily Echo dated 14 February 1949 it says Dr P Madan aged 51 Wearside physician and surgeon etc, could someone look at the full article.

He married Blanche Witty or Arthur 1925 Liverpool. There is a Blanche Witty in Blackpool, Lancs in 1921 (says born Bristol) with about 50 odd other people! I'd like a look at her also. I can't see a Blanche Arthur on the 1921 census.

Their daughter Sheila Thelma was born 1925 Liverpool maiden name Arthur on FreeBMD. No mother's maiden name on GRO indexes.

There is a Blanche Arthur who married John Witty 1920 Basford area but is this Blanche?

No sign of Parmanand, Blanche or Thelma on 1939 register.

Argyll, I didn't realise that about the GRO thanks.

". . . . who had practised in Fern Terrace, Southwick, for more than 20 years, died at his home yesterday following a long illness. A prominent Freemason for more than 16 years. Dr Madan was a Past Master of the Vedra Lodge, and member of Vedra Mark Lodge. Before coming to Sunderland. Dr Madan had previously practised In Manchester for three years. He is survived by widow and one daughter. "
