Looks like the chap who died 1764, who's will index I posted, was in the clergy:

Could this be the marriage for the parents of the RBP baptised in October 1752?

Parish Record Collection - Marriage Record

License date: 16 Jun 1752
License date year: 1752
Bride's last name: TURNER
Bride's first name: Mary
Dual date: 16 Jun 1752
Groom's last name: POLLARD
Groom's first name: Blemell
Record source: Faculty Office Marriage Licence Allegations 1701-1850
Data provider: Society of Genealogists

If so, they cut it a bit fine, him being clergy too!

Shame there's no location given.

This must be right, though, as the grandfather of RBP born 1752 was named as Turner on the 1764 will.

Maybe I was wrong when I said we'd exhausted the parish records for Blemell Pollards!

Irene - what do you mean by "find out more" of Jane? Apart from the birth, marriage, census and death I don't know what else there is to find?

Before I start looking for stuff about her side of the family what do you already have?
