Hi Tracy Thanks for the offer, could you look for anything on Irish Origins about the following Frederick RICE married Ann MOFFATT before about 1814, he served in the Longford militia until about then. Had daughter Eliza Fanny about 1815. She married in 1836, went to Australia, but is there anything on her parents ? I think I found Ann's baptism, but cannot find anything about Frederick - would Griffiths Valuation tell me if RICE is a Longford name, or where he might come from ? I think he also had a brother George in the Longford militia. Thanks in advance Diane

Hi Tracy I wonder if you could check the Dublin 1901 census for Francis Townsend and family please.... Sarah Townsend 1859 Francesca Helen (Fanny?) 1880 John 1885 Catherine 1888 Francis 1890 Sarah Dorothy 1895 Francis was born about 1851 in Scotland but a couple of his daughter's marriage certs and a son's schooling have placed him in Dublin around this period, also his wife was Irish born. He was noted variously as a store clerk/book keeper/ manager of a timber merchants. I have no idea where in Dublin they might have been though. many thanks Sylvia
