Hello Maureen I should have mentioned that I already had the census info - sorry if you wasted time on that and thank you. BUT with all the research that I have done I have never come anywhere near finding a year or place of birth - now I have something to go on. Even when I paid for the Irish records office in Dublin to check between 1868-1872 they came up with nothing- YOU ARE A STAR!!. May I ask where you found it - I am really intrigued many many thanks ,Liz

Hi Maureen Thank you for your very kind offer. I would love some help to find more information on my Clarke family. Father is Tandy Clarke or has I have been told this could be Thomas Andrew. He married a Mary Martin in 1820. I found info on Tandy in 1816 in Hillsborough, Down and in Largimore in 1831/34. No further info on him or Mary. His son was Thomas Clarke was born in 1826 in Lisburn, Ireland. He married Sarah Jane Walker abt 1847 in Lisburn. I have not been able to confirm this. Do not know of any other siblings of Thomas. Thomas and Sarah had the following children and emigrated to New Zealand. Mary Jane Clarke born abt 1847 Down Thomas Clarke born abt 1850 Belfast James Clarke born abt 1852 Martha Clarke born abt 1856 Belfast Alexander Clarke born abt 1858. Don't know what happened to him as he did not emigrate to New Zealand with his parents. Sarah Clarke born abt 1860 Lisburn. Rosetta Vera Clarke who was born August 31 1864, 22 Watson Street, Belfast. I would be interested in any information you could find on any members of this family. Thanks in advance. Irene
