HI Many thanks for your kind offer. I have been searching for this lady for ages. I have only just found that she went to Canada when i was looking on the army pensions for her brother. Her name was Edith Maud Abernethy born 8/8/1874 in Broughty Ferry Forfar scotland. The last time i have picked her up in on the1891 Census in Ayr Ayrshire. She is down as next of kin for her brother in 1914 but her name looks like Price (bad hand writing) living in Toronto, Canada. I have searched marriage in Scotland and Deaths and she's not there. Any help would be fab. Thank you in advance. kind regards kate

Hi Katrina and thanks for the offer. My father was adopted by the Rust Family in Marylebone, London, England about 1903. I am trying to trace the living families of two of his adopted siblings who moved to Canada, I think between 1920-1940. The first is George William (also known as William George) Rust. He was born in 1881 in England and died 19 Aug 1942 in Dieppe France in the war. On his army memorial notice it gives his wifes name as W J Rust of Timiskaming, Quebec. He served in the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry. He is said to have had a dairy farm business and later a petrol filling station. The second is his sister Caroline (known as Cary) Rust. She married a Canadian in England before moving to Canada, but I don't know her married name. Many thanks. Linda

Hi Katrina I've been trying to trace my half-sister for some time now without any success and wonder if you could help. Elinor Patricia McLaren was born on 15th June 1919 in Brixton, London. I believe she married an American GI during or at the end of WWII and went to live in America. I have no other information. Best wishes, Bruce

Hi Katrina Thanks for your kind offer. My paternal grandma and her eldest son went to New Zealand we think. Why she went or who she visited is a mystery. Unfortunately she died and my uncle was looked after there and maybe adopted. Grandma's name was Matilda Birch(nee Crowther)b.25/9/1874 in Lancashshire and Uncles name was Lawrence Birch b.23/02/1902 Lancs. I'm interested to find any living relatives.Maybe they can help solve the mystery of Matilda.
