Hi please could you look up Leatherd and Leathert surnames up!!! As much names and dates and info as possible there from the Blackburn area and there was a name change from Leathert to Leatherd in the 1920s so the is 2 halfes to a family.

Hi Liz i have spent HOURS looking for this woman !!!! there is no sign of her, John Phillips, John Tow or Ada Crowder after 1881 !!! i have checked for deaths & remarriages after 1883 too, but NOTHING !! So not only can i not find her in a census - i still don't know which one she married either, pmsl !!! SORRY Jane xxx

hi jane, could you try and find William Scrafton, don`t know a lot only he had a daughter Jane born abt 1817 north shields, northumberland and he was a farmer, jane was married 1839 so is not with him on the 41.. sorry i know it`s not much but am hoping there is not many william scraftons who were farmers thanx sharon

thanx jane sorry don`t know the mothers name Jane was married in 1839 father william is not deceased on marr cert, they were married St. Johns Newcastle upon Tyne, this has got me stumped especially when it`s not a common surname.. maybe it might be best to see if someone can find parish records for janes birth to tyr and find out who her mother was.. why can`t things be easy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sharon

Hi Jane Please can you look up on on census after 1871 - Francis H Smith born Battle, Sussex 1827c and his wife Charlotte Westal (Westall) born 1824c Sonning, Oxfordshire. On 1871 census they were married with children Harry 1864c, Mary 1869c and Nellie, 1867 all born Reading, Berkshire, and they were all living at St Giles, Berkshire. Thank you, Sandra

hello jane thanks for the offer iam trying to find 2 brothers johnathan booth born leathley 1819 hes showing up on 81 census born leakley and the 91 census born leathley his wifes name is ann born in selby abt 1816 . also his brother david born 1822 leathley hes showing up on 61 & 71 but cant find either of them in other census's could you please post all the info you can gather . i had trouble with thier eldest brother john he too was born in leathley in 1816 found him on all census's but for some reason his birth place changed for 51 61 & 71 to yeadon thanks for all your help. angie
