Hi Lorraine I am trying to trace the parents of my g-g grandfather. my g-grandfather James Overton was born c1815, i can find him on the 1851 census as a married man with 3 daughters, and on the 1861 census with 5 children i am interested to find him on the1841 census to see if he still lived with his parents he would have been approx 26 years old his first born child was Eliza born c1848. The family seemed to live in Cobham Surrey. James lived in Tin Row Cobham during his married life and married a Mary ?? from Great Bookham Surrey the next village. Thankyou for any help you can give, but i am aware that as you go back in time people seem to disappear. Regards Brian

Father: William BENNETT (b ?), occupation: Printer residence is shown as York Street, Newcastle, Staffs, when she got married in 1847, so she was possibly there in 1841. Thanks, Derek.

Hi Lorraine thanks for 1841 lookups yesterday. I hoped they might be the right ones but although the second one (William Dalley was the right one) I was hoping for JOHN DALLEY and ELIZABETH DALLEY born 10 years earlier. ie. 1790 and 1791 in same area Fonthill Bishop. Is it possible for you to have another look for me. It is the parents of William I am looking for. I do think the one you gave me was probably a brother. Regards Pam
