Hi Jess and Mandy, Thank you for looking. Obviously it will remain a mystery where he was in 1881! Would it be possible for you to have a look for James Thompson born 1804 on the 1861 or 1871 census or is this asking a bit too much. He was born in Soho and in 1851 he was living at Upper Southampton Street in Islington with his family. his wife is Anne she was born 1810.I am particularly interested to find out his occupation as one time he seems to be a grocer and another time a printer and compositor! Thank you, Anne

Hi Jess and PPS Thank you very much for finding Nathaniel Tanner for me!! Gives me something to work on at home! Jess- I had my feet crushed and twisted underneath by a supermarket motorised trolley pusher - the guy let it go whilst having a conversation with a collegue, it pushed and trapped me into a post - so i saw the sole of my shoe - ouch! Hi Jess, May I ask for your time once again? Please could you search for my “sailor Bill”, in 1851 and 1871? William KIRK, born c1821 (+/- 2) at Happisburgh (often written Hasbro) Norfolk. He was a mariner/ master mariner Have found him in 1861, 1881 & 1891 Wife and son based at home in Mundesley, Norfolk 51 – 71, but no William, presumably in port somewhere. Many thanks, Janet
