Sorry Bev Only just got back online Our cousin found her(100% sure) living as a housekeeper in RUDBY N. Riding Yorkshire ....... Just checked his notes( no pc when he researched) it was census's 1841, onwards Up to the 1871, then no sign of her on the 1881 one. The guy she was living with died in 1872 (killed himself!) so I reckon she went into the workhouse after that! I have NOW realised the John you found in B/Auckland 1841 couldn't be the right one, as it lists his wife being there. Sorry, If I am being a pain :( Ann

Hi Beverley, Please could you look for Jane Race for me. I have her in 1851 but only have the info that she was a servant living at The Green Northampton. I would love to know who else was in the household with her.. Thank you Chris

Hi Bev, She was born abt 1835. I thought in Northampton but I have just looked in my late father in laws notes and he has written Bedford. (One or the other!!) Hope this helps Regards Chris
