Hi Deborah, I wonder if you can help. I've found Elizabeth Ann Alexander (nee Churchman ) in the 1881 1891 and 1901 census records and they all say she was born in Thirsk, N. Yorks.( 20/ 08/ 1849 ) but I can find no records of her birth there or anywhere in Yorkshire.. Her husband was George Henry Alexander born 11/ 09/ 1844 in Terrington, Norfolk. Can you find any record of his birth? Is it possible that Elizabeth A. Churchman was also born in Warwickshire? Hope you ar more successful than I have been! Thanks, Joan Thompson.

Hi Deborah, Thank you for your kind offer. Would it be possible to look for birth details of John Winterbottom born c 1837 in Sheffield and his wife, Emma Gledhill born c 1838 in Sheffield on the BIVRI disc please. Parents names would be most helpful too. The only thing I can find is their marriage date, not details, of 1861 and census 1871 details when they lived in Charlotte Street, Sheffield. Nothing showing on FreeBMD. Regards, Margaret

Deborah - would be ever so grateful if you could help with the following please in the BVRI2 discs. I'm looking for the baptism for ROBERT BOURNE in 1791 (say 1790-1792) in either Worcestershire or Staffordshire please. The one born in 1797 in Winnall, Worcs is not the one I'm afraid. He turns out to be from the landed gentry and definitely not one of my ancestors - unfortunately! BOURNE is sometimes seen as BOURNES or BOURNS or BOURN. Hoping you can help. Sue G in Berks.

Thanks for trying Debs. I've just discovered that there is a Terrington in North Yorks. so I'm going to try there as his wife was born in N. Yorks and they lived there. Every census after 1881 says Norfolk. Joan.
