Hi Sue, do you have Lindley, Hudds? Could you please look up Samuel Craven(b.1819) in 1851. He should be with wife Mary(b.1824), daughter Elizabeth(b.1838), son Joshua(b.1840) and maybe Benjamin. In 1861, they're at 377 Long Lane. Could you also look in 1861 for Elizabeth Sagar(b.1819). She should be with some kids, possibly Sarah(b.1839), James(b.1840), Mary Ann(b.1843), John(b.1845), Emma(b.1847), Hannah(b.1849), William(b.1850), Edward(b.1855) and Thomas (b.1856). In 1851, she's living at Woodruff, Worsborough and in 1871 she's at 5 Hudsons Houses, Worsborough. Many thanks :) Ooh... is Cleckheaton a big area to search? I have a family there too, but I don't know where they'd be.

Hi Sue, This is only my second post as I'm a newbie, so please excuse me if I don't do this totally right. I'm looking for 1851 and 61 look ups for the following: Bransby White (1817) married to Hannah (?) Children John (1841) William (1842) Mary Jane (1844) George Bransby (1845) Thomas (1849) Hannah (1851) Hannah was born in Church Street, Whitby, Yorkshire so that's where I'd hope to find them. In the 61 census there should be three more children, Robert (1857) James Salton (1859) and Isaac Postgate/Poskitt White (1860). I also have Isaac's birth cert and he too was born in Church street so that's the only address I have to check. Thank you so so much in advance. An addicted newbie. Em

Hello Sue, Would you be able to look on the 1861 or 1851 census for my Great great Grandparents: I have their marriage certificate - married 25.12.1863 in Christ Church Parish of Doncaster. WILLIAM DAY aged 25, bachelor, Painter, Father - Thomas Day, Hawker. Residence at time of marriage was BAXTER GATE, DONCASTER (I've checked on multi map and this is an actual street still). ELIZABETH ADDY aged 19, spinster, Father - Richard Addy - Sailor (haven't been able to find him on any census!) Also living at BAXTER GATE, DONCASTER. I have found them on the 1871, 1881 and 1901 census. I would really like to know the names of their mothers etc. Thanks for you kind offer Jo

hi linda- i found him on the 1901 , where you said he was. but rotherham covers 100's of pages, without an address it would take ages to check. might be worth getting his b cert. do you have a w cert of his ? that might give you his fathers name . sue.

Hi Sue, If you get a chance, would you have a look at the 51 census for my Maurice Chryst (could be down as Moritz Christ!!). He should be aged around 21, when he married a few years later he listed his address as King Street in Attercliffe, Sheffield. Thank You Claire

Sue - If you have a chance, I would really appreciate an 1861 and/or 1871 lookup for Walker INESON in Batley. In 1881, he is living with his widowed mother Mary on Field Hill, along with siblings Martha, Ernest and Arthur. He would be 4 in 1861, Martha would be 2 and Ernest may be on there as an infant. I would dearly love to find his Father's name and any older siblings he may have. Thanks so much for your help. Best regards, Howard in Canada

Morning Sue, Yes i have my Maurice Chryst on the 61, he was at Mitchell Street in Attercliffe with wife Helen and children Aloizy and Karol. He married in 58 in the Ecclesall Bierlow area of Sheffield and his name on the cert shows as Moritz Christ which ties in with the family tales that he changed the spelling of his name. Not sure when he came to this country though, from census he was born either Austria or Poland, family tales again always believed Poland. Wanted to see if he was at the address he gave on the marriage cert in 51. Father on cert was given as Philip Christ. Thanks for checking for me, much appreciated. Those Booth's were easier than this lot, lol. Claire
