Hi I don't know if you can help or not ! but I'm stuck on the o'learys as my Nan was one but was very secretive about them (no idea why)
She was Rosetta o'leary born London 1921 her father was a Daniel Lawrence o'leary 1891 and mother Suannah Heffill 1896c
My Nan Rosetta had (what I have found ) a brother and 2 sisters
Frank 1916c Ellen 1920c and Doris 1922c
Now going back to Daniels father I have a Daniel o'leary 1856c
That is roughly all I have as far as I'm aware they are from London but not sure when they came to London from Ireland
The only other info I have is my Nan said there was a lot of brothers in the olearys but I'm yet to find any more of them ! Or if that was even true !
Does this help you at all ?
Or can you help me ?
Thanks

Hayley -

You have posted on a thread about the 1881 census in Scotland, which is nothing to do with your query.
Even if it was relevant, the last post on this thread was in 2007.

You would be better to start a new "Find Ancestors" thread for yourself.

Click on "Find Ancestors" in the menu on the left of this page.
Then at the top of the list of threads, click on "Add Topic" - and start your own new thread about your O'Leary family.

EDIT:

Oh, I see - Eames (aka Tracy O'Leary) has "O'Leary (London)" in her list of families she's personally researching.

However, she hasn't posted on her thread since 2004, and is almost certainly not looking here for replies now.
If you want to try contacting her directly, click on her name in green at the top of one of her posts, and send a private message.
If she still uses the same email address, GR will contact her to let her know there is a message from you in the system.

No guarantees that she'll be able, or willing, to reply, though.

It will still be best if you start your own new O'Leary thread, if you want all the helpers to see what they can find.
