Hi Wendy; Longton comes under Preston, but there are no entries for William Barron. There are entries for 1821, 22 , 23, 28 and 29 in Blackburn, 1819 in Upholland. In Preston there is a Barron family around 1825 with parents Robert and Jane. Children's names are Grace and Betty. Let me know if you want any of these.

Teresa In Canada Report 10 Sep 2004 18:53

Hi Carol; the earliest I can find a record for George Westwell in Lancs is 1841. There are a couple of Westwell families in the Blackburn, Salesbury and Haslingden areas around that time but I don't see George. There are parents George and Peggy with children in Salesbury and Balderston(I think these are the same parents for both entries. Does any of this sound like it would be of use to you?

Hi Sarah; I have tried every spelling variation I can think of but nothing on Catherine Mclaurin. The one suggestion I can make is that if you are using a disc search also look under the letter L. On the BVRI if the name is Mc it is listed under the next letter of the name (McLaurin), if it is MacLaurin it is under the letter M. I hope that helps. Teresa in Canada

Am trying find the birth of FREDERIC SMITH, BORN 1850 IN NEWICK, SUSSEX. Also his marriage to LYDIA JANE RUSSELL at HOLY CROSS CHURCH IN UCKFIELD on 10 June 1894. These dates have been given to me as correct but I can't find them anywhere. Need to find the marriage certificate(or birth) to find parents of Frederic. If it is too much just say, thanks Jean

Hi Louise; There is only 1 Jane Richardson listed for Essex and she is in 1776. There are a couple of families around that time with William for a father. One has wife's name Sarah Mc Donald in Rochford. The other has wife's name Frances in Leyton. Another with wife Ann in Walthamstow. No child named Jane though. Do you know any sibling names? Sorry, nothing on the Morrant/Smith names either.
