Hi Rose, I would very much appreciate a look up for this marriage. TAGG Henry (b.c1802) and ELSLEY Mary the marriage would have been in Thames Ditton, in the reg. District of Kingston, Surrey, prob around 1830-1839. If that's not specific enough I'll understand, no probs. Thanks. K

Hi Rose,
Thank you for your offer.
Could you please look for the marriage of John Hurt before 1714 in Farnham, Surrey.
(I think his first child was born in 1714).
Many Thanks,
Susan

Hi Susan,

There's a John Hurt marrying in 1738 in Ash. Is that too late?

Susan Report 21 Sep 2007 08:26

Hi Rose,
Yes that would be too late, my ancestor was born in 1725, and I have found siblings going back to 1714, so I would hope that it is before then, and probably in Farnham.
Unfortunately, there is no mother's name on the children's christening records, so I do not know who John married, but the first child I have found was called Mary, so maybe his wife could be a Mary? The second child was called John, so that would follow.
What do you think? Do you have any Farnham records that would cover the period before 1714?
Thanks again for trying,
Susan
