This may be old hat..but a sure fire way of finding stuff you never Knew existed..Google the place you think is part of your family's heritage.
Often the scroll down will lead you to Genuki..........followed by the place..like say Bakewell........If it doesn't the try Googling "Genuki..followed by the Place".........its can be a gold mine of bitsand bobs sometimes including transcriiptions of parish records and local Census.
