Blossom, apparently Isabella is an alternative for Elizabeth. So the Stewart birth could be worth considering.

Marriage of Robert William Stewart to Mary Mitchinson, Sedgfield Sep 1899, 10a/193. But they also have Jennie in 1916. I was wondering if the parents died and Elizabeth/Isabella was taken in by George and Catherine if she was a relative.

Christine, am I right in assuming your grandmother married Thomas G Liddle June 1934, and then James E Applegarth Mar 1955? Is that something you know to be right from family knowledge? In which case the death of Isabel (la) Applegarth in Jan 1968 age 55 would seem to be the right person, even if we don't believe the age.

We ain't getting anywhere are we?

Hi..
Gosh How I wish I could do what you do???
From what i know the Mitchinsons go right back to coming from Edingbrough..Although Catherines Mum was married in Stockton..
So interesting though that the ones you have seen come from Houghton..thats where some of my Dads family are from...
My Isabella is a mystery...

We shouldn't be having this trouble. None of the surnames are that common. Baldam, Mitchinson, Liddle, Applegarth, Gustard. Not exactly Smith are they?

Isabella is also not that common.

Catherine seems to have had a sister Ann, but not a Mary.

Christine, what was Catherine's mum's maiden name?

Do you have any more info on the family you can share with us?
