Oh they are lovely, I am even more jealous than I was before!!

It always makes me a bit sad to think that all or most of the people have now likely to have passed on, for instance the young soldier with the beret and the lovely smile...did he make it through the war, or the very happy wedding party which is a beautiful shot, what happened to them, did they have a happy life...

Guess I am just always curious about what happened to the actual people.

Thank you so much for sharing them, I really hope that you able to reunite them with someone,

The one captioned '21st birthday party, a wee bit tight' - neither of them look remotely like my 20 year old daughter. Why were previous generations so old before their time?

Hope you find the family. I had 2 photos in a small leather travelling frame - bought at an antique fair. One had a name and date on the back, and a photographer's stamp for Barnstaple. Based on that, I searched trees on here and managed to reunite the photos and frame with a descendant in Australia - a lovely feeling! I had had the photos several years and always felt sad that they were "lost".

I wish they were mine too
can you imagine the feeling if someone gave you an album full of pictures of your family dating back to ,I think ,the oldest photo is about 1880

Just had a message from Dizzi
she has suggested putting all the photo's on a site that she has empty so when my o h comes home he will have to do it as I don't know how .

Al of us can then look at the pictures and get to know the people we are looking for

Bunny Austin was a famous tennis player:
Henry Wilfred "Bunny" Austin
The nickname Bunny came from a comic strip, Pip, Squeak and Wilfred.
Very useful.

Search shows Bunny often used for Benjamin.
Also for surnames beginning with Bun*.
