hi Susan

these are the people that I would love to see in a parish register...

William Eversfield Manley bap 22/11/1846 St martin in the fields.
john William Manley and Betsey Ware Eversfield married 09 12 1844 st martin.
john william manley bap 03 09 1815 st martin
john Christian manley bap 28/04//799 born to John and Ann. he died in 1844 and the death was registered there, so maybe he was married there too - spouse probably Louisa.

Would you like to give us some dates names and place of birth for your rellies ,maybe we can find who you are looking for.

vanessa Report 19 Dec 2011 10:23

hi Det and DF
thank you for this information.

the dates I am currently interested in are baptisms from 1779 and a marriage in 1844.
i have this information from the igi but really wanted to see the registers myself.

thank you

DF Report 18 Dec 2011 16:45

You didn't specify a date but these are on-line.

or just try - type in parish records and then scroll through.

Ancestry have St Martin in the Fields (Westminster)

Marriage and banns 1800-1834
Baptisms 1813-1856.

Holdings by Westminster city Council Archives can be found here, but there doesn't seem to be a link from the main site to enable online searches.

The IGI batch numbers for St Martins in the Field can be found here

KenSE Report 18 Dec 2011 08:18

They are probably available on Ancestry. If you ask for lookups on the Find Ancestors board someone will be able to give you the data.

vanessa Report 18 Dec 2011 07:27

several of my ancestors were apparently christened at St Martin in the Fields, Middlesex according to the IGI.

Are these parish register records ONLINE that i can search? or should I head off to my nearest LDS church and order them??

thank you for any help and advice
vanessa :-)
