I presume it's a male forename you're after.

I don't recognize the abbreviation - near misses are Jas=James, Jos=Joseph and Jno=John.

What is the full forename for the abbreviation Jns please? I am trying to identify a relative who may have been at Waterloo. The Rolls show a Forename Jns and I cannot find what this means anywhere. Thanks
