Please could any one help?
I have a Ralph Taylor b 1847 Rochdale father of James r a Taylor b 1886.
Ralph 1847 is married to hannah in Rochdale in 1876.
I am struggling to find Ralphs parents. I found him in the 1851 census he lives with Ralph Taylor and Nancy in rochdale but is down as nephew.

I am searching for Ralphs parents. When I posted yesterday I were inquiring about James's parents.
Ralph is down as nephew on the above post not son.
I am trying to find Ralphs parents. I posted I knew who he were living with so unless there is a mistake on the census he is nephew so these are not his parents

I understand this must be frustrating for those who know how to work the system but for me I am quite new to searching and it gets confusing.
I do appreciate you have to spend time and money to help others for which I am thankful.
Ralph 1847 fathers name is down Ralph 1806 also but on the census it says he is his nephew not his son.

Why delete the other thread , Its not stored on your PC and folks have spent time and their own subs finding the info posted on it .

It doesnt sit too well with helpers for folks to delete the info they have spent time looking up .So please dont delete it

The info posted can be referred back to as well for later enquiries for the same family :-)

I looked back and it hasn't deleted it. I will keep it for future reference

sometimes info just doesn't come up easily on the internet and you have to buy certs to back up ,or find ,what you need

would suggest you get the marriage cert to Hannah for its info

plus you may like to get the birth cert also posted as a back up to see if the dads names correspond

I think the mistake is on the census... I have just found on LBMD Ralph 1844 born to Holden.
