his father is Ernest Steels and Mother MaySteels Maiden name Neals She married Ernest About two months before his birth Her previous married name was Moulds on the marriage record to Ernest

If Derek has his own B/C does it hav full names of parents.?

It possibly will remain a mystery why she used a different maiden name for Derek and his brother,,,,

unless Ernest registered the births and got it wrong,?which is a possibilty for a man,

The sisters birth was mothers maiden name as-----------Jeeves,,,,not Neal,

If Neal was given for both sons then some twist of truth was in the making..but for reasons unknown as May and Ernest were marreid then,,,,,,


a look at the newspaper brief of 1931 in full may reveal more but a sub or paid credits is needed,,,at findmypast.

Wow Thankyou all so much I am researching this for Derek Steels born 1934 one of the two sons mentioned at Westwood He has his Mothers Birth certificate and his own that has Mothers Maiden name as Meals.
He had a sister who was taken and brought up by another family which seems to account for the Court proceedings.

The two sons in 1939 was not children of Mays but relatives of Ernest Steels possibly Grandsons?
