Thought I'd update those of you who were kind enough to assist me a couple of weeks ago. Have now received George's birth cert. Unfortunately, it is for the wrong George, and I cannot see any other possible births on the bmd index, so I will be contacting the local records office. I'll let you know when I have some news. Liz

hiya liz, yes it has arrived!!! and to me it looks like Mincer, have just finnished getting my babies bag ready for hospital, (have yet to do mine) but as usual that can wait a bit, LOL anyway that's my opinion for what its worth, Mincer, so we will see no doubt, did you say you were going to order another childs cert to see if that helped?? If you ordered it from GRO you can phone them, and they should send out a typed cert so you can read it better, (they have done this for me on a few times) HTH Julie

Just got in guys and see you no further forward getting the name, it is so frustrating for you Liz and I do sympathise, as I say have been there. LOL Dea, know what you mean normally able to help other people find their rellies but never my own!! Yes Dea you right William was a widower by 1881, like you cant conclusively find ann's death. Still pondering about dear Linah/Carthaliner, spent hours on that last week, but no further forward!! Think I may try to get in touch with local RO that contains LLandogo and see what they say. It was a long shot I cant find any likely marriage in Kent Sue

Elizabeth

Elizabeth Report 29 Jul 2006 14:14

Sue, I did wonder about this one. But discounted on the basis that William's mothers maiden name didn't really look like milliner. Liz

Dea

Dea Report 29 Jul 2006 14:11

Fuzzy, I believe William was a Widdower by 1881. Though I can't definitely trace Ann Elizabeth's death either. Dea x p.s. These people MUST be related to me - I can usually find other peopl's quite easily!!!!!!! Dea x
