Obviously I,m trying to confirm Mary's maidenname and find both of their parents..Their children were, Rachel A, Alfred,William,Arthur J, Janetand William 1824 of Gleadless, Sheffield (myg.grandfather) Now your boredom ends as I can't begin to tell you the headaches caused so far with hte Shepherd link. Cheryl, Thanks for the look up.I see there were no other children with Margaret Atkinson/Burnley Workhouse. I was told by a distant relative that she had had another 2 children by 1891. George and Isabella Andrews but they must be wrong. Thanks once again Sassy Sue

Hi Cheryl -- Thanks for your search. Yes, that is Bridget's marr ref. She married after the census. Your have previously looked for me for her father Dennis Duggan in the 1871, and both Dennis Duggan and Michael Prendiville (Bridget's husband) in the 1891. To absolutely no avail. I was just hoping that by isolating Bridget that they might all turn up. I guess that that is that as so many people have looked I can only assume that they are vastly mistranscribed or the relevant census pages are missing. Most grateful anyway. RIta

Hi Cheryl, Thanks for your kind offer. 1891 census Would you please look for Margaret Ann Atkinson born 1856 Colne Lancashire. Her son Francis Atkinson born 1885 Burnley. From the 1881 census Margaret and her son Francis were in Burnley Workhouse. I am wondering if they are still in Burnley Workhouse. Thanks in advance. Sue
