Yes its not the comprehensive search that we usually have. Perhaps they got fed up with us all moaning and have put it on half finished! Trouble is so many kind people on here have helped me with 1851 that Im going over old ground so far.

http://www*ancestry*co*uk/search/rectype/census/uk/default.aspx replace * with . You will then be on Search UK Census Collection click on arrow where it says Census year. Choose 1851, then put in the details you want to search for. Hope this helps u. Fi

Kim not being funny but i dont get this, ill be searching for ever now you wont see me, when the 1861 came on line i found all miine in about 20 mins and i dont thing the 1851 will be any longer, but i have already pinned down where they all are.

I've just added up how many names in each county. I rounded them all down to the nearest 1,000 so would need to add on about 20,000 to make a good average, but there are roughly 16½ million entries at the mo on the new 1851......
