Jess, I really hate to think of you sat there without anything to do, so you can help me again if you like? :-) I have an Elizabeth Betsy Potter in my tree. The 1881 census gives her birth details as born abt. 1856 in Bristol. She married William Burkinshaw in 1874. Her marriage certificate gives me a father's name of Henry Potter. Are you able to find her on the 1861/1871 census for me? Thanks, Sharon Perhaps I should have said...she was in St Pancras, Middlesex by the time of her marriage.

Germaine Report 20 Aug 2005 08:15

Thanks Jess. Looks like you have found everything I have checked I got the 1879 William Macks birth cert, but it wasn't him. I really am wondering if the 1881 family was his. Did you say you found them in 1901 perhaps this will help me. My Mum insisted he came from Liverpool. Or could he have had his age wrong and the Noah was bad writing. (clutching at straws here.) but this guy doesn't seem to exsist either. If you have time could you look at the 1891 William Noah born Droitwich age19. In Fleetwood Lancs. The image though when you see could read Noah but when I found it I was just rooting about and it hit me as Mack. Will go look for the ref no. Thanks again Germaine x Source information: RG12/3456 Registration district: Fylde Sub registration district: Fleetwood ED, institution, or vessel: 6 Folio: 113 Page: 16 (click

Hello Jess, are you still hungry? If so, perhaps you can help me with the 1861 census....I'd like to know more about this family Lloyd. I don't have a lot to go on, but I'll give you what I've got. Thomas LLOYD. Head. Coachmaker Pheobe LLOYD. Wife. Isabella LLOYD. Daughter. Isabella Lloyd was christened 25 Nov 1838 at St Clement Danes, Westminster. Her birth was at Drury Lane, Middx but I don't have a date. I don't know how many siblings she had. Isabella married in 30/3/1868 to Thomas Tagg at Trinity Church, Trinity Grays, Middx. Hope you can find something...cheers, K.

Hello Jess, Sorry, Mary Webb born 1866/67 not 1886/87/ Have whole family on 1901 census. George James Hone born 1849 (should be 1847) 173 Romford Road Manor Park. Have them on 1891 census. Down as Howe on 1881 census. On 1871 census George Hone lodger with a Mary Henderson age 24. All so confusing. Not sure I am going to get anywhere. On the birth certificate of George William Webb, mother Mary Webb (formerly Loundon), Occupation of father is something I can't read and underneath that says (journeyman). They lived in West Ferry Road, Poplar. Any ideas? Thanks for help. Pam.

Hi Jess, are you able to look on the 1861 census for my ancestor........I'm stuck on this one. Her name is Grace Bolton. She was born in 1845 in Wallsend, Northumberland. Her mother's name was Isabella Bolton, but on later censuses she became Isabella Lennox (obviously remarried). I've found Grace on 1871, 1881 and 1891 census (by then she had married Thomas Hatfield in 1867) but no luck earlier. Much appreciated. Susan
