Kathy ................

please do not ask questions on this thread, it only confuses the intent, which was to provide information on where to look.

Open a new thread to ask your question on this Board, Find Ancestors or General Chat.

I will say that there are no records of traffic between Ireland and the UK ............ passenger lists were not kept.

Hello,
I'm trying to find my Irish ancestors.
I don't have much to go on;
Mary Ann Honey, born 1815.
Her father is Thomas Honey, her mother Elizabeth (I don't have her maiden name).
I don't know when the parents were born.
Mary Ann came to London and married George Peek in 1831, when she was 16.
She is my great, great, great grandmother.
George Peek was 15 years older, and they had 13 children.
I really want to find out where in Ireland she came from, any siblings, other Honey relatives.
Can anyone help please?

Barbara

Please read the first two paragraphs of the previous post.

They are still relevant.

Hello,
I clearly don't navigate around this website very well, so here I am again.
I am looking for more information on my ancestor Mary Ann Honey.
I know she was born in Ireland in 1815.
Her father's name was Thomas Honey, and her mother's name was Elizabeth (I don't have her surname).
Some of the scant information I have gathered points to her family residing in Carrick-On-Suir, in the Tipperary region, but I'm not 100% per cent sure.
Mary Ann Honey married George Peek in 1831, when she was 16, and he was 31, in London, and they had 13 children.
George Peek died in 1847 when he was 47.
When Mary Ann was 57 she married a man, surname Johnson, and she went on to live in Surrey.
I'm desperate to know her family history, whether she had any siblings, how she met George Peek. He was from Middlesex in London.
I keep drawing a blank, it's a real enigma.
Can anyone help?

Barbara did put her query on the right board in the end.

Hi, I have tried to find some information about George Coleman. He was in the Royal Navy, and his Service Record gives his date of birth as 4/11/1863. The 1901 Census gives his birth as being Queenstown, Ireland. The year 1863 seems to be significant as records seem to start from 1864.
Many thanks for any help with this.

Bet you are wondering why no one has replied to your post. As the title suggests - this thread was for information only.

Repost your query on the Finding Ancestors board. But also explain what you mean by ‘some information’. You obviously have his service records. Is his birth and parents you are looking for?

Have you checked Search/search all members trees to see if anyone has him in their tree.? Have you looked at Family Search, which is free.
