I dont think just because anyone comes from a paticular place makes them more friendlier than anywhere else,,grumpy off -hand people live everywhere,
I couldnt cope with the fast pace of living in the heart of London, but the outskirts would be totally different,

I used to work for mr Price :}}a grumpy old real jewish cockney,he was very colourful in his speech, and was right offended when he called me * right old cow* and refered to the wife as ,*my ole woman silly cow* but soon learned it was normal talk, and walk for them,

I love the old cockney accent, not the up-market twang, but feel its not as stong as it was years ago,

I love London and have lived here for over 40 years. I love the different cultures, the restaurants, the availability of almost anything you can think of, at whatever time of night., the total anonymity when you need it, the beautiful parks, the list is endless. London has always been a welcoming city and has embraced all nationalities with remarkable warmth, over many years. People who do not like London, do not know it very well. It is a grand old lady:-) BC XX

I love going to London for the day if only the rail fare were cheaper though! There's so much to see and do, but I do like coming home at the end of the day.
