Puss , I,m sorry you are going through this . All I will say is that I went through the same with my son at this age as do lots of parents . He didn,t have Aspergers ,mine was just being a teenager .
Its hard enough for them at that age to know what they want without having this condition on top of everything else.
For you to have to deal with this and the aspergers must be so darned hard ..
Hang in there , he,s lucky to have you for his Mum .

Get him to talk to the job centre people designated to help people with conditions such as Asperger's. I have dealt previously with staff members with the condition so by all means drop me a pm, cant promise a miracle answer but have seen it from an employer's side

My friend's son has Asperger's. He works at a leisure centre as a life guard and seems to be getting on ok, he's 22. (And gorgeous!!!)

My friend said it was very difficult when he was growing up but she is proud of what he has achieved, despite the difficulties. (His older brother is a very academic scientist doing research that I can't pronounce.)

My friend says it took a while to realise her 2 boys were achieving on very different levels and now she celebrates what they both aspire to, regardless of what others think.

I wish you well with your son.
