Can some given some idea as to what American British Subject means, my grand mother has this on the cenus for 1901. |

my 2x gt grandfather had french british subject on his ..........both his parents were english . so he took there nationality aswell . so dont knowif this is the same |

My great grandmother has this on the 1901 census. She was born in America but her parents were both born in England. Hope this helps. |
