May be Germaine - thing is, most of us dont like to cause trouble or bother do we and I guess they count on that. You see a small amount go out and then be refunded and you think well, whats there to complain about - we should all jump on seeing anything strange on our accounts. |

I don't know if mine was a genuine mistake or fraud. A few back I got my statement a small amount gone out then refunded. I rang the credit card co. it was some telephone company I had never heard of . They stopped my card straightaway. I wonder if this is another way they are trying take it out put it back you think nothing of it. Something to watch out for. |

They never tell you any more cos I asked if police would visit and bank said no. This is what THEY do -try out small amounts first but I think that alerts the bank , |

I just hope the police do follow it up because they dont seem to be interested in card fraud now. |

Technology is frightening at times Pam but top marks to your bank and Dell though. |

Some little scumbag somehow got my card details and used it this afternoon to buy themselves a new computer, well they thought they had as my clever bank seeing this unusual transaction phoned to check and I was able to tell them that is wasn't me, and I was also able to contact Dell who have told me they will refund my money and they also kindly gave me the address where the computer was going to be delivered which is now in the hands of the police. |
