I go into My Documents where I have a picture of myself which I wish to send to a cousin I've never met!!! It says on the left hand side "email this" so I click on it - email profile comes up, I put the email address in [the photo is an attachment] and I get a window that comes up saying:

The host aol cannot be found - please verify that you have entered the serving name correctly Account aol server aol protocol SMTP Port 25 Secure [SSL] no socket error 11011 Error No: 0x800cccod

All double dutch to me I'm afraid

Who on here has an email client? Or who is an email client and who isn't?

I don't have any clients these days, email or otherwise, since the great B Bank in Canary Wharf made me redundant.

I have Outlook Express, but MSN told me it was to be scrapped, so I now have Windows Live Mail, which is slo...ower than ever. Am I the client, or are they.....?

I sometimes wonder who pays the Piper. It is a huge conundrum.

An email client is another phrase for something like Outlook Express - it means a third party piece of software used to access your emails rather than webmail which is where you access it over the internet

I think you mean outage not outrage!
It sounds like an ISP problem if that is who you have your emails through.
I take it you are using an email client rather than webmail.

Kay???? Report 22 Jun 2008 19:23

Betty,,

It sounds like server problems, what deals with the emails...they could be having *outrage * somewhere,,,,,,
