well it wasnt compulsory to register births til 1875 so your relative may just not have been registered |

trying to trace a relative whom in 1901 states birth in Bow. Ldn in 1661 yet his surname does not appear in the births for this year. using a wild card i have searched xname for 1961 but to narrow my search does anyone know the registration district for bow in 1861 i.e.name or initial ref e.g. 2a ??? |
