Hello Caz,
Well it's sounds like you had a good day dispite the rain. Had they painted the grass green and was Lizzie wearing white shoes? They did that when Queen Mum came to visit Phil's regt and some of the paint hadn't dried. LOL. (can't remember I might have written that story on here before, so if I did I apologise.)
I miss the grub that army chefs do when they lay on a spread, some of the things they did were amazing. Going to have a look at the link, what were you wearing?

Hi Caz

So glad today went well and you, Greame and the kids enjoyed yourselves...

It will be something to remember for life.

Ian met Prince Charles when he came to Carlisle train station while he was RSM, he and some of the cdts had to do a guard of honour as he left the station. I have a great photo of them talking together.

Well done Greame you make us very proud.

Regards
Catherine

Hi Caz,
So sorry about the weather, I was in work and thinking about you, then I scanned the Evening Post to see if I could see you (DOH) I don't know what you look like, but going to have another look for a lady in a black dress and pink jacket.
Hoping to see you soon
Patx

What an adventure, Cazzles. You'll have to be sure to record it all properly with the family tree stuff to pass down. :-) I remember seeing the queen when she came to open FGH when I was in the Brownies and then Princess Di when colony factory in Lindal was opened (I was working at George Hastwell School then and the kids had been invited) She came over to talk to some of the children.
