That since buying a mouse that connects to a USB port, the damn thing flies off on it's own!! |

Is it an optic mouse ie one with the red light under? If so, try wiping the choccy biccie crumbs away, specs of crumb and dust sent it all over the place. |

Maggie,,try going into Control panel from start,,find Mouse then see if how the speed is set,,,it may need slowing down, |

I think it's mostly a case of getting used to making smaller movements than you might have had to do with the old one. I remember when I first got an optical mouse it was difficult to adjust. Also you can alter the speed like Kay says. |
