I always thought Dr Who was for children
but you lot seem to love it :-)

I don't watch it and I couldn't cos just the trailer showing David Tennent's eyeballs almost on his cheeks frightens me lol. I thought the Doctor(s) were supposed to be eccentric...not stark staring mad lol.

*wonders which of the Doctor's two hearts was zapped?*

If only one got zapped then regeneration would be a bit 'off'.

Well we ( the year 2 fans and I ) think the Doctor stays the same and Rose dies as she is the Doctors most loyal follower.

Besides, the rest, except Donna all have spin-off series, so couldn't be killed off....................or could they?????

The first of the "new" series was on TV here last night.

One of the greatest moments in TV history-

Kylie Minogue falling to a fiery death!!

(Should have been done decades ago- lol)

Don't forget Donna has the beetle on her back - re-mentioned in the most recent episode - could be relevant.

Professor River Song said he looked a lot younger than her Doctor. She recognised him but seemed puzzled.

I'd heard somewhere something about Jennifer Saunders being in Dr Who???

Sue in Somerset

Sue in Somerset Report 29 Jun 2008 23:37

Just wondered? Do we know who Donna's father was? He's been briefly mentioned but I'd assumed he was dead.
Could he have been the Master in disguise?

Shelli4 Report 29 Jun 2008 23:36

In "The Stolen Earth" the tenth Doctor is shot by a Dalek while running toward Rose. Captain Jack, Rose and Donna bring the Doctor into the TARDIS where he begins the regeneration process. However if he regenerates into his eleventh incarnation it would theoretically create a paradox as he has to meet Professor River Song in his tenth reincarnation for her to recognise him, as stated in the "Forest of the Dead", as well as Queen Elizabeth, who declared the Doctor her sworn enemy in "The Shakespeare Code" - though considering the Ninth Doctor's statement that Time is in flux, this may not be the case; further, Tennant is contracted to play the Doctor in 4 specials in 2009

Shelli4

Shelli4 Report 29 Jun 2008 23:34

does this quote help?????

It has also been confirmed that Tennant will appear in four specials to be aired throughout 2009. as well as the complete fifth series in 2010, however there is no confirmation if he will play the character after this point.

found on Wikepdia under tenth Doctor heading.

Jill 2011 (aka Warrior Princess of Cilla!) Report 29 Jun 2008 23:30

And in the last episode when the Dr said it had started and he was regenerating it focused on his hand - which presumably looked different. So, maybe if he was only partly zapped by the Dalek he will be only partly regenerated - just his hand - and then he can swap his "new" hand for his "original" hand in the pickle jar and become the Dr as we know him again!

Although, frankly, if it was just his hand that was a bit different would he need to bother to go to all that fuss?
