Hi Linda McG, we have a very close friend that's family come from the Achill Island his father has left him a farm over there and is considering going back to retire there.

Linda if you have a very windy day do visit Hartland point where you will see nature at it's most destructive. The waves lashing over the rocks and the sound is unbelievable.

Also a bit further down the coast is Morwenstowe there is a lovely tea shop there called The Rectory Tea Rooms which is opposite St. Morwenna Church at Morwenstowe (an interesting place to vist too) they do lovely meals there and I defy anybody who can finish one of their cream teas!!

Husbands family had a hotel there, still there using fam name but no longer in family also lovely guest houses another family member. Husbands brother still lives there must try and go over soon.

Not visited this part of Devon...been to Cornwall lots of times though
