So fair and welcome are the memories
which linger like the heady scent of garden flowers....

then waft, unbidden, and so remind
of the sweetness that those who lived have left behind

Jax's poem always makes me think of my mum... particularly this verse which I find very hard to even look at as my mum died before seeing the spring.....

I sit beside the fire and think
of how the world will be
when winter comes without a spring
that I shall ever see.
