Libby -- he wouldn't thank me. He met both his wives when they saw him perform, and he thinks this creates unrealistic expectations. Like, they don't expect him to live in a house with cat pee on the furniture, I guess. ;)

Deb -- you could drive to Phoenix. I would have a slightly harder time of it. ;) Longer, anyway. Oh dear, I'm getting naughty.

That was the idea with Cleveland. Greyhound bus, no passport needed. But add in him flying there, hotels, no desert to cavort in ...

I can do it at a counter; 2 weeks plus delivery time, I see now that I bother to look. Lots of time to procrastinate!

"They will be feeling all the better for it and no doubt passing PM's to their friends to say -'That showed her! - Take that one on the chin then!'

Was that the playtime bell I just heard?" PMSL :)

Kathryn, the wait time for passports is 4 weeks and under (hubby just applied for his). So get the application in ASAP.
You could always drive down, you don't need a passport for that.

Kathryn

Don't ponder..........be a groupie.

You know you want to.

We only live once - make the most of it!!

Are you people insane? Do you know what you have made me do??

And I've gone and forgotten the whole problem, that I need a passport to fly to the States, and I probably can't get one in under 6 months. Duh! When you see me here after 8 a.m. your time, make me go home!

Gotta go check out the passport biz; may be able to find a way around the wait time. If so, I can fly to Phoenix amazingly cheaply (if the amazingly cheap fare is available -- otherwise it's like $1200 and we're back to cavorting in Cleveland) and get picked up and driven a couple of hours in a little green sports car through the desert to the home of the peeing cat. And the blues guitarist driving the little green sports car. ;)

By the time I get to Phoenix ... it will be too late! But I have 6 weeks to ponder this now. Unless I want to show up earlier, for the gig, and be a groupie.

Oh, and ta, I did manage to have 1.5 hours' sleep before some marauding gummint clerk with a completely incomprehensible and totally pointless request, that I had to respond to right that minute by coming back to the computer and trying to read a 40-page document really fast so it wouldn't look like I hadn't started on it yet, woke me up. Grr.

Bet you will have some wild dreams Kathryn, lol, or even nightmares after all we have been discussing.
Catch you later,

Yeah, no sleep but that's nothing special. Finished the job due at 5 pm (it's 9:30 am now), although not the jobs due on June 27, but hey, what's another week? so may get a little shut-eye.

It was fun Kathryn, as well as trying to help you focus.
From my own view and personal experiences I would say go for it and sort out any consequences later. Even if he turns out to be slightly less than you had hoped, it might help you change things at home, if you still feel they need changing.
Good luck, there's you facing the morning having presumably had no sleep?, just as I have got out of bed lol

Brag away Kathryn, no need to apologise whatsoever.

I will just clarify though, that what I feel is not jealousy, maybe admiration. I've got enough on with my no.1, I definitely couldn't cope with a no.2 coming into the equation.

Enjoy x

Oops, yes, I must apologize. One would almost think someone with such an awful dilemma as mine was, like, bragging. ;)

No, really, staying up all night with people picking over my personal life in public did focus the mind wonderfully!

Well so far, the impassioned reponse to my announcement that I have given in to the entreaties is:

"It would have to be after my gig on ________."

I think maybe he's not a morning person.

Or maybe he's gone back up to the newly coated rooftop and is shouting it.

Kathryn you big show off, having 2 willing candidates to choose between (or maybe more if Merlin gets his way) ;0)

Good luck, whatever happens

It's a possibility, Merlin.

Just tell No. 1 that No. 2 is moving in, and No. 1 can do what he likes!

Heh. I asked for advice ... didn't say I'd take it, now ... or which advice I'd take. ;)

I do like some of the advice here! I'm considering about mid-August ... unless I can work out the logistics earlier ... Seriously. I think I've covered any debt I owe No. 1 a long time ago.

If No. 2 doesn't work out ... or heck, if he does ... well, I don't know. I'll be back looking for advice. ;)

Just had a look in here Kathryn...
Never take advice on a man.... take your own advice, even that can be a bit *iffy* sometimes.
Well mine always is anyway. ;-0)

And cacti. I've seen the desert Las Vegas to Death Valley, but apparently the desert where he is is different. More deserty I think. I don't think I've actually seen Cleveland, but I've seen Toledo and Pittsburgh, and that's probably adequate ... I dunno, desert cavorting is being highly recommended from that end. And Air Canada has some danged cheap flights ... and really. Cleveland. Where did you spend your honeymoon? Oh, Cleveland OH. Not in the top 10 destinations, I think. He's just really hot to show me that hall of fame. And his boyhood haunts. Such eager creatures, boys.

Good luck with whatever decision you make.
