My youngest grandson 3 asked his mum who was in the car with them, on checking rear view mirror he was looking at empty seat at the side of him.

He was told there was just the two of them in the car, the next question was can you die out of the car window, asked why he answered because the little boy did he banged his head cried and there was blood and he died.

who told you that my daughter asked........

he replied he told me and grandad when we were playing, my daughter had to stop the car and compose herself.

Grandad died seventeen years ago long before grandson was born

Our youngest had an imaginary friend. I often wondered if this was brought on by the fact that she was the youngest by 6 years and so home-alone with me while her brother and sister were at school all day.
Actually there were 2 friends, but we didn't hear much about No-No. She 'lived' with us in Germany and rode on the car parcel shelf. Her father alternated between being a dentist or a King who went to Hong Kong
!
Elizabeth, the other friend was a pain in the neck, or rather her mother was. Luckily the mother was never present, but was often spoken about. She let Elizabeth do all sorts of things which weren't allowed in our house.
This was also in Germany, where we liked to watch the BBC news on the evening TV to keep in touch with home. We asked the children to play quietly so we could listen.
" Elizabeth's mother let's her sing while the news is on, ...and she never moans, " I was told.

Elizabeth's mother apparently also allowed her daughter to have meat paste and honey in the same sandwich, ..Lol

Evening - I had an imaginary friend called Rachel and when I was small and did something wrong i.e. broke a plate, I'd go to my mam and tell her what Rachel had done - made my mam's life a bit easier I suppose

Sorry Chris that did make me laugh lol

My nephew use to always talk to a lady. We'd sit and listen to him on the baby monitor when he was about 3 or 4. A proper conversation but of course only his side of it.

Son had one when he was 3 yrs- he was a clown and lived with us for about a year. I had to flatten myself against staircase wall when son came up as once - never to be forgotten the trauma of it - I passed son on stairs = knocked clown down and walked over him! He had his own chair, plate, knife and fork and a tiny bit of food on plate etc but one had to be careful when sitting down in lounge as one could easily sit on him - got I used to ask son - is this seat empty??????? Things we do for children - we must all be mental!

Both mine did - and like Jax - they had the same name - Patrick.
Eldest had hers for a short while, didn't speak about him much.
The youngest told me her Patrick was an orphaned sweep boy who lived with his cruel grandfather. He died in a chimney accident (fell down it I think). He was very skinny and emaciated.
She blamed him for writing on the walls - and basically doing all the naughty things LOL
In the end I had to tell her that, as he was her friend, she shouldn't let him do naughty things as she was responsible for him, and if he carried on, he wouldn't be welcome as it was very rude to misbehave when you are a guest in someone elses house!!
Writing on the walls stopped!!!!
