This is getting more like Big brother than GR , all these comings and goings, who we can and cant talk about, forbidden subjects,no bodily functions. Soon potting sheds and warts will be off limits and whooshed.
Can anyone explain why a geneaology board should be subject to all these restrictions, its worse that being back at school, in which case most of us are standing out in the corridor waiting for detention ! It's gone beyond daft this time.

Its all gone beyond the pale, absolutely ridiculous, as soon as there is anyone with a remotely interesting thread someone pounces on it and dashes it away, I'm thoroughly fed up with it.

No it's not that, it is "other things"

It's because since GR became part of the "Evil Empire", they dont give a rats a*** about anything except screwing money out of the suckers - i.e. - us!

If we had properly moderated boards this wouldn't happen.

Well obviously there are some sort of moderators otherwise the threads wouldnt keep disappearing, but they have a curious way of meeting out justice.

Hyancinth, today several times I've read a thread gone to answer it only to find its been whooshed, bi GR for no reason other than someone has moaned about it, theres been nothing offensive or upsetting just another lot of dopes with personal agendas.

We have 5 known to be on holiday already

GR dont read the threads - they just automatically wipe the threads or impose bans, in an inconsistent and arbitrary fashion.

Well its a surefire way of getting everyone at each others throats,
When I first joined there was an almighty row going on and I wondered what I had walked into, I decided who to avoid, but it wasnt what I had been led to believe what GR was for. !

The rows are nothing new.
The same things have been going on
for the last 5 years that I can remember.

But there have been no rows

the rows have been here for a long time .
but GR suspend ppl for the sillist thing even debates which is unfair coz all debates get heated at times but shouldnt be taken personally .
ppl should be able to have their opinion then move on .
