how would the kids of today manage i dont know,

We had a bucket lavvy and then moved upmarket to a council house with a cesspit that was little and needed emptying every week.

I was trained from a very early age to use a loo anywhere I could as long as it was not at home.That was a special treat.

Oooo.....Outside loos. Useing the torch to go down the yard and looking for the bogey man. 15 wat bulb in the closet and you couldn't see the spiders but you knew they were there somewhere. lol.

Wouldn't mind but my Nan had this enormous bathroom with a bath and sink but no blummin loo. Would love that bath now, huge and really deep with claw feet. Trouble was you had to have the fire lit all day to have enough hot water to fill it, had to wait until you could hear the water bubbling in the pipes though.

you can still get izal but who would want to use god nows,

when i was a kid we had squares of newspaper on a nail in a outside toilet that froze solid in the winter and we would be afraid to go out there in the dark,

if we were lucky we would have the soft tissue paper that came around tangerines and oranges now that was luxury!!

I have a blue and white bathroom and a pink and white one,and all the fittings are royal doulton,so there!
colours will come back and everyone will have to change again.I like good loo rolls though,don't care if they are blue or white in the downstairs bathroom.It's OH who uses that one more because of the stairs,and it is blue for a boy!
