howsabout white wine with lobster or oysters (or both) on a bed of ice with romaine lettuce leaves to nibble (once had it on a US internal flight from New York to somewhere, can't remember where but the landing strip ran over the motorway flyover)and samphire when it is in season (cos you can't get it any other way) or King Prawn Biriani or sticky singapore chicken wings or,.............. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

Roast belly pork with crackling or Pork chops with the kidney left in like in the old day's or maybe a nice thick juicy steak smothered in mushrooms and onions served with grilled tomato and chips (not oven chips) they taste like cardboard followed by treacle sponge and custard.and wash that down with a cool pint of fine ale.

Lots of lovely tasty things but I do rather like a pork tenderloin in a cream and brandy sauce with onions and mushrooms served with saute potatoes and broccoli.
A lemon dessert like a lemon souffle would be nice or perhaps home made strawberry icecream.

But there are other things I like as much.

How about a fresh Salmon steak, with Charlotte potatoes boiled in their jackets served with a generous knob of butter and a salad (romainne lettuce, small tomatoes on the vine, chopped onion, raw mushrooms and a simple dressing)
