Just read the apoligy. What a load of nonsense it has been happening to me for a week or so now not just yesterday or over the weekend.

If it is the ads that are causeing the trouble then take the blimmin things off the site and make us all happy.

Well I seem to have stirred up a big nest of wasps on this thread. I have been using the new link that was given and I have still had problems this morning with the site freezing. Been out all afternoon so am just catching up on your posts.

Lets hope they get it sorted soon. Bet they are trying to get the site running better with Christmas on the way. Just think how many newbies there will be on here then!!!!

Thanks Joan, can't understand why they have taken so long to work out that the site doesn't work properly in Safari, that is a basic of building websites that you test in all the main browsers of which Safari is one. Google Chrome uses the same rendering engine as Safari, but presume that is working OK.

If you are using Firefox, check that you have the latest version. I've not had any problems, so can't comment on the crashing.

Dear Joan

Thanks for your email. I am sorry but at the moment some browsers for Mac users are not compatible with the site. Our technical team are aware of this and hope to have it fixed soon.

In the mean time please could you try using Mozilla Firefox? We know that this is totally compatible with the site. here is a useful link for you:

been using mac now for a month...........

What exactly did they tell you Babycham, as safari is a browser and not a server, they are two different things.
Not all mac users use safari, quite a lot use Firefox and Camino.

Hi Jane

Most of GR are having problems. xxx

Jane Report 1 Dec 2008 15:27

This is what they told me.

Dear Jane,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

I have just tested this and have been unable to recreate this problem.
If the error persists, I would be grateful if you would let me know which operating system and browser (and version of that browser) that you are using to access the site in order that I may attempt to recreate this issue and further investigate for you. If you could also give me step-by-step details of what is happening when you try to do this, then that'd be really helpful.

Many thanks in advance of your co-operation.

Best regards,

Alex Brett

They dont seem to be able to get their story straight.
