Pleased that all is going well for you and Eddie and that he is being positive, hope they can find him a place on the community scheme soon. Hope that your Mum is at least comfortable, she is a strong one isn't she?

Mauatthecoast Report 22 Jun 2010 10:28

Glad you've both settled into the flat Mummo, and that Eddie is wanting to do some gardening, which is always a good positive sign.

Hope your mum is improving, you've certainly had more than your share of troubles.

Thinking of you both

Jean (Monmouth) Report 22 Jun 2010 09:49

That sounds some positive thinking. Give him something to do other than sit in a wheel chair and do nothing all day. I had a twelve months in a wheelchair before my bypass surgery and it was so boring. Because of the heart problem i was not allowed a self-propelled wheelchair, and had to wait to move for someone to be free to doit.

HI, we have settled into our flat really well,
Eddie is now having hydro therapy, he had one the week before last but last weeks we had to cancel as l had a message from my brother to say he didn't think my poor mum was going to make it through the next 24 hours so had to drop everything and go to Portishead ( near Bristol) to see her, she is still with us, thank God, but is really not well.
Our life has certainly changed but am grateful Ed came through the accident and he really is so much better than he was.
Still trying to sort out all the benefits he is entitled to..........everything takes so long.
Eddies O.T is trying to get him into a community scheme to do some gardening / growing veg in raised beds as Eddie does like gardening and doesn't want to just sit indoors day after day , so that is something for him to look forward to.
Thanks again to you all, xx

Valerie Report 22 Jun 2010 07:54

Trust that things are going along smoothly for you and Eddie and that he has been able to have the hydrotherapy.

Still think of you both.

Take care of yourselves.

Val in SA.

Jane Report 3 Jun 2010 17:23

Good Luck with your move tomorrow Mummo.I'm sure it will go like a dream and things will be easier for you both. It's not surprising that you have had a breakdown after everything that has happened.Hopefully your tablets have kicked in now, they are wonderful things just to help you get back on par again.
Isn't it typical that you had the call for Eddies Hydrotherapy for tomorrow of all days!!Hopefully it won't be long before he gets another slot.
